Pre-seed funding and investors
Halifax, Canada-based Floqer announced a $2 million pre-seed funding round on 14 October 2026. The round included investment from Perplexity's F7 Fund, N49P, Tidal Venture Partners, and Perplexity co-founder Denis Yarats.
Floqer plans to use the capital to build out its customer relationship management (CRM) infrastructure, grow its product, and support its expansion as an AI-era CRM data engine. The startup also said it intends to open-source part of its customer knowledge database technology in early 2027, pending security reviews.
Automating sales prospect research
Floqer operates an autonomous customer knowledge platform for business-to-business (B2B) sales and marketing teams. The system uses artificial intelligence agents to search across public sources and third-party databases to gather, organize, enrich, and update records on prospective and existing customers.
Users enter a description of what they are searching for, and Floqer's AI agents generate lists of relevant companies and contacts. The software uses more than 100 third-party data sources to enrich target accounts. To find verified email addresses and phone numbers, it uses a waterfall method, checking multiple data providers in sequence until it finds verified contact information.
The platform continuously monitors the web for updates such as job changes, promotions, or new funding rounds, and updates customer records automatically.
Company history and traction
Floqer was founded in 2024 by Chief Executive Officer Shivam Mahajan and Zaaheda Islam, who met at university. Before launching Floqer, Mahajan was a software engineer at Kyndryl, and Islam was a senior data scientist at Axis Capital.
The startup initially developed a Chrome extension called Super Chat that allowed users to log in with ChatGPT to take notes and gather information. The founders pivoted to Floqer after noticing that enterprise clients were using the extension to clean up their CRM data through a manual process.
Floqer now employs eight people and has over 1,000 customers, including Perplexity, Wise, and AngelList. The company reported that it has passed $1.2 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and that its overall revenue grew approximately tenfold over the past year.
