Funding details and expansion plans
KP Labs, based in Gliwice, Poland, announced its €4.42 million (PLN 19.4 million) round from Momentum Capital Partners on 14 October 2026.
The company plans to use the new funds to strengthen its research and development capabilities and expand its commercial product portfolio. KP Labs also intends to set up serial production for its hardware and scale its international sales and marketing efforts.
In-orbit data analysis technology
KP Labs develops technology designed to process satellite data directly in Earth orbit. Its offerings include specialized processing units, firmware, and artificial intelligence algorithms that analyze data in real time, transmitting only the most relevant information back to Earth.
This approach addresses challenges in the space industry, where satellites gather data faster than they can transmit it to Earth. The technology also lowers costs, speeds up the delivery of critical information, and helps satellites autonomously navigate and monitor their surroundings as satellite density and space defence needs increase.
Customers and space missions
The company sells its products to space agencies, satellite manufacturers, and space hardware providers. Its client list includes NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space, and OHB Hellas.
KP Labs previously operated its own satellite, Intuition-1, from 2023 to 2026 to gather Earth observation data on soil conditions, pollution, and vegetation. Its technology has also been tested on the International Space Station, where Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski used its algorithms for lunar mapping experiments. Additionally, the company is participating in CAMILA, a Polish national space mission building an Earth-monitoring satellite constellation.
Leadership and investor commentary
Michał Zachara, CEO of KP Labs, noted that the business has spent the past several years developing capabilities and solutions that have been proven during real space missions.
Jeremi Doboszewski, investment manager at Momentum Capital Partners, said KP Labs has shown it can build a profitable, growing business around advanced technology while remaining capital efficient.
