MintNeuro raises $5M to scale neural device chips

Imperial College London spinout MintNeuro has raised $5 million in funding led by Odyssey Ventures to expand deployment of its specialised semiconductor platform.

Funding details

London-based MintNeuro announced the $5 million round on 7 October 2026. Odyssey Ventures led the investment, with participation from 33East, JSK Investments and Alumni Ventures.

Returning investors Empirical Ventures, Jumpspace Ventures and early investors also participated in the funding.

Specialised chips for neurotech

MintNeuro is a semiconductor and deep tech startup that develops specialised chips for neural devices, including brain-computer interfaces, bioelectronic medicines, neuromodulation systems and sensory prostheses. Its products are designed for both wearables and implantable systems that connect with the brain and nervous system.

The company's modular semiconductor platform provides neural sensing, signal processing and stimulation. This allows devices to listen to nerve signals, interpret them and deliver electrical pulses to treat disease or restore function. The platform aims to reduce the need for neurotech companies to use generic components or go through lengthy custom chip development.

Expansion and commercial targets

MintNeuro will use the new capital to drive its commercial scale-up and expand the deployment of its platform. Specifically, the funds will go toward growing its engineering and commercial teams, launching products, supporting customer adoption and strengthening its presence in the US alongside its base in the UK and Europe.

The business is led by co-founder and chief executive officer Dorian Haci and chief technology officer Timothy Constandinou.

Partnerships and traction

MintNeuro has delivered working silicon and reached integration milestones with partners such as Amber Therapeutics and Motif Neurotech. Earlier in 2026, the company signed a multi-year commercial chip supply agreement and partnership with Motif to support its minimally invasive neurostimulator, which initially targets treatment-resistant depression.

Other neural device companies and research teams are currently evaluating or integrating MintNeuro's technology for applications that include Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, depression, hearing loss and inflammatory disease.
